K-K-K-KATY
KEEMO KIMO
KICKING MULE

K-K-K-KATY

K-K-K-Katy, beautiful Katy
You're the only g-g-g-girl that I adore,
When the m-moon shines over the cowshed,
I will meet you at the k-k-k-kitchen door.

KEEMO KIMO

From Peggy: Hi, I'm trying to find this silly song but I don't know all of it or the title. Could you help This is all I know:
There was a little frog that lived by a spring,
   keemo-kimo-nee-wah-wah
hi and a ho and a rumple-humple-stumple diddle
loop cat-scoop cat... johnny got a boot jack"

From Judy S. I saw the words to some kemo-kimo folk songs on your web-site. My father (born Maine, lived NYC), used to sing a kemo-kimo song that our extended family still sings to the children and grandchildren to this day. It goes like this:

There was a frog who could not sing
Sing song kitty, won't you ki-me-oh
He had such a cold that he could not sing
Sing song kitty, won't you ki-me-oh

   Chorus:
   Kemo, Kimo, pat-a-mick-a-murphy
   Dinny O'Fanagan a rock-a-doyle
   Rumma jigga hum-strum
Hit em on the hat band
   Swat nyes Ebanezer ram-za-lo

The words are as I remember them. Do you have the words in your files? (See below) Do you have the music?  Thanks, in advance.

Ed. Note: Here are just few Keemo-Kimo variants, and a couple of references to more:

1. In Carolina folks all go,
Sing song kitty can't you ki-me-oh.
That's where the white folks plant the tow,
Sing song kitty can't you ki-me-oh.
Cover the ground all over with smoke,
Sing song kitty can't you ki-me-oh.
Then their heads around they'll poke,
Sing song kitty can't you ki-me-oh.

CHORUS: Kemo kimo, There, oh where,
With my Hi, my Ho, and in come Sally singin'
